I have always been wanting to visit Ueno Zoo in Tokyo but I never got the chance or I never got the energy. March 4, 2018, I decided to celebrate my 22^nd birthday in Ueno Zoo. I am not a kid but who cares. I love cute animals and it’s my birthday, I can celebrate it any way I want to!

Ueno Zoo is famous for their giant pandas there. The 2 giant pandas that currently live in the zoo moved to Ueno in 2011 after the death of Ling Ling, the old panda there.  The mama panda gave birth to a new baby panda in 2017 and the people are so queueing to see the baby panda. I was not able to see the baby panda because they ran out of numbered tickets but I saw the papa panda and he was so cute!

Aside from the pandas, I also saw other cute animals in the zoo.

That was my birthday trip to the zoo! I am planning to visit again but that time, not alone! It was fun being alone but I think the zoo is a lot nicer if visited with friends, family, or a loved one.
